We’ll be covering a variety of different DIY projects in this guide, and the easiest way to start making your own metal wall decorations is to pick up a piece or two of scrap metal.

Some metal will work, but you’re going to want to find a piece that can stand up to some abuse.

You’ll need a sheet of 2×4, a piece, a nail file, a flathead screwdriver, a screwdriver (or a dremel), and a bit more scrap.
Once you’ve got everything assembled, you can cut out the metal piece.
We suggest using a 1-inch piece, because you’ll need more room to put the wall in the house.
We also like to use 1/4-inch nails, because they can be used to attach a metal frame.
To create your DIY wall piece, you’ll first need to cut a hole for the metal frame on your home’s exterior wall.
If you don’t have a 2×6, you could use the 4×6 template.
Once the hole is drilled, use a flat head screwdriver to drill a small hole in the wall piece that will hold the 2×2 template in place.
To add a metal strip, use the flathead or a nail and screwdriver and then carefully cut a 1/2-inch hole in it to accommodate the 2×2 template.
Next, cut the template and attach it to the backside of the metal strip.
