Here are some of the best-looking decorations that will be on display on Saturday:Mardi Gras parade from 12:00 to 12:30 in the morning:A huge banner that says: “Welcome to the Mardi Grasu” that will fly over the central square and over the Palazzo di Piazza in the city center.
This will be followed by a massive procession of people on foot, which will then take to the streets, heading toward the Piazzale, the main square.
The parade will begin at the Ponte di Fiori and end at the Verdi Opera House, just outside the city, where it will continue for around an hour.
It is expected to be one of the biggest celebrations in Rome.
Last year, a parade was organised for the holiday on December 22, but organisers cancelled it after the city was hit by a series of deadly earthquakes.
In 2019, the annual Mardi grasca was held in honour of Pope Francis.
The festival is expected this year to be the biggest event since the 19th century.
