EAST COVE CITY, Colo.
— A large, colorful wall of brightly colored, painted and carved Easter decorations is making locals smile in downtown Colorado.
The Easter decorations at the new Easter Tree House on Colorado Avenue in East Cove City have been a hit with families and passersby alike.
“I think it’s a great idea.
It makes everyone feel a little bit more comfortable,” said Lisa, who has been visiting for years.
One thing the family has noticed is the festive vibe.
It’s a nice little community center that’s a little more of a mix between a restaurant and a gathering place,” said mother of two, Jessica.
Jessica said the Easter treehouse was a huge hit with the whole family and they’ve seen some changes since the treehouse opened.
We’ve had people come over and ask for our pictures and it’s just fun,” said Jessica.
“The decorations and the art are just so cute.”
For now, Jessica said she’s going to be staying for the full summer and will likely move on to the tree house for winter.
For some, the decorating is just something to enjoy.
Easter decor is a popular holiday tradition in Denver.
In April, the Denver City Council voted to make Denver the first city in the nation to offer Easter decorations.
They’ve also offered free food and rides to the event.
Denver’s new Easter tree house is now open for business and is selling everything from Christmas decorations to a Christmas tree, and a holiday-themed bar.
There are no plans for an official holiday parade.
